    Dear Friend,

FYI, I’d wrote a response to LKY’s statements about Singaporean Muslims and Islam in his book ” Lee Kuan Yew : Some Hard Truths to Keep Singapore Going ”.

You may read it here –

This response was sent as an Open Letter via email to LKY, Members of Parliament, other individuals in the Singapore Government & members of the Singaporean Muslim community.

I thought you might find it an interesting read.

    Be Well. Peace

    This article was yours, ttp://onesingaporean.wordpress.com/2011/03/29/tin-pei-ling-vs-chen-show-mao-and-a-very-scary-thought/

is extremely good, well written and puts across many important and insightful points that must be heard by more people.

You NEED to disseminate that post in TOC and TR and wherever else.

We need to get Tin Peiling OUT of parliament and she CANNOT get through this crack this time. She is by far, the worst candidate I have come across in the 3 elections I have lived through.

    Dear sir/ms :-
I resonate with your views in relation to this coming GE2011. You write very well, argue your points beautifully, and supported with facts. I am very encouraged by more of such folks like you emerging our of post-modern Singapore. May you continue to point out issues to make our land of birth a truly wonderful place for my parents to grow old and my children to grow up.

    Hello Faris

I am a final year student in NTU, and have taken a keen interest in the political scene in Singapore. Not so much in the mainstream sense, but how alternative views have been constructively shaped. With the use of new media that allows one to voice their thoughts via numerous channels, we have seen how many have made themselves heard – be it airing their disagreements in policies made by the government, or means of subverting the regimes of the autocratic PAP.

I would really appreciate it if you could take some time to share with me your opinions on how alternative views (like yours) are being raised – be it through web logs, online forums, or even real-life events; and the efficacy of these means in raising awareness amongst our locals, in challenging them to think beyond the contructs of PAP’s Singapore.

My email is rowenalee.90@gmail.com, and I thank you for reading my comment. 🙂
